Parivar is the annual membership program for Chinmaya Mission Austin (CMA) patrons, designed to deepen engagement and community belonging. Parivar members manifest their shared vision to sustain the nurturing environment that CMA has grown to be, ensuring the Mission endures for future generations.   Any patron of the CMA can become a Parivar member. All families and individuals participating in CMA programs are encouraged to join.   Parivar membership includes participation in: Festivals and temple events Weekly adult satsang Adult study groups Weekly yoga classes Seva projects Gita chanting classes Swaranjali ... more to come   Members will get regular check-ins and access to a Parivar team member for any questions. New members can be paired with experienced Parivar members for mentorship.

Chinmaya Vrindavan Amrutavihar is a special program tailored for children, who are differently abled, to come together for social interaction, spiritual growth and learning. The children are introduced to stories from our Puranas, taught how to chant shlokas and sing bhajans, along with art & craft activities, yoga, breathing exercises and group discussions.   Classes meet on every Saturday during the Balavihar calendar year from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.    For further information contact: amrutavihar@chinmayavrindavan.org

Shishu vihars are a safe and nurturing space for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers to start their Bala Vihar Journey. This is a parent and me class. The Bhagavad Gita is a timeless masterpiece which is still very applicable in today's world. Through this course, the students will explore the different chapters of the Bhagavad Gita and how to apply them in daily life. Topics in this course include: facing challenges, discovering our real selves, the essence of karma yoga, understanding the goal of life, being our best selves etc. 

As part of the celebrations for 75 years of Chinmaya Mission, Gayathri ji will be leading classes to teach Chapter 15 of Bhagavad Gita titled Purushottama Yoga on Wednesdays.    Learn to chant Chapter 15 with proper pronunciation. This is the perfect way to enjoy and deepen our understanding of the Bhagavad Gita.

Please join us for the 2026 CHYK/CSK East Coast Retreat on the theme of 'Sacred Secrets'. This retreat will be based on five key verses of the Bhagavad Gita -- or the Gita Panchamrit.    Gita Panchamrit is a sacred sādhanā that marks 75 years of the Chinmaya Mission Movement by inviting seekers to immerse in the timeless nectar of the Bhagavad Gītā. With five powerful ślokas at its heart, this year’s theme will impart Chinmaya Yuva Kendra and Chinmaya Setu Kari with the Gītā’s enduring essence.   In addition to the discourses on the five verses, we will have workshops, yoga, games, plenty of opportunities for introspection, and a bonfire! We are very fortunate to have Brni. The annual Bhagavad Gita Chanting Competition (GCC) serves as a vehicle for inspiring and motivating children and adults to learn, memorize and assimilate the sacred verses of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. In keeping with Pujya Gurudev's vision and mission, GCC helps sow the seed of Gita Jnana in every participant.   This year, Chapter XII: Bhakti Yoga – The Yoga of Devotion, has been selected for all of us to learn to chant.
