Bala Vihar offers weekly Hindu spiritual and cultural classes for the entire family – from toddlers (age 2) to high schoolers, & parents. The weekly classes run on Saturdays from 3:30 PM to 5:45 PM in the Chelsea area and feature an age-appropriate curriculum rooted in Hindu scriptures, with bhajans, stories, interactive discussions, festival celebrations for the whole family, and dedicated satsangs for parents.   For an expedited response to your query please send us an inquiry through Best Class (Sign up/Registration required). Krishna Janmashtami also known as Gokulashtami, Srikrishna Jayanti, Sree Jayanti is an annual celebration of the birth of the Hindu deity Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. The festival is celebrated on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Bhadrapad (August–September) in the Hindu calendar.

Sri Krishna Jayanthi or Sri Gokula Asthami is celebreated in the month of Bhadrapada maasa (August/September). Hindus celebrate the descent of the Lord (Avataranam) all over the world. Srimad Bhagavatham quotes Lord Brahma extolling virtues of Paramaatma: satyavrataṃ satyaparaṃ trisatyaṃ satyasya yoniṃ nihitaṃ ca satye (1)     satyasya satyam  amṛta satyanetraṃ satyātmakaṃ tvāṃ śaraṇaṃ prapannāḥ (2) We seek as our shelter You O Lord, of true resolve, existing in the past, the present, and in the future, the Source of existence, earth, water, fire, air, space as the Reality underlying them and as the source of all that is Truth.

Bala Vihar sessions enhance the overall development of the personality of a child at all levels - physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.   This trial class is for NEW families who would like the opportunity to learn a little bit more about a typical Sunday class.
